Another unwanted call from this invalid (spoofed) Los Angeles area number arrived today, just 2 weeks since the last unwanted call on March 14. One again, when the answering machine picked up, the caller left no message, just dead space. Robocallers (unlawful telemarketers) do this all the time while trolling the phone lines seeking gullible schmucks to victimize.
Several posters report that the caller asks, "Can you hear me?" DON'T ANSWER! The caller is making a recording of your voice to use in a scam to order merchandise, using your "Yes" answer as consent for the charges. DON'T LET THESE TELECRIMINALS FOOL YOU!
