Microsoft IS NOT EVER KNOWN for having any stellar pre-active support like this! LOL!

This scam has you installing a remote program to let them access and control anything on your computer under the guise of "fixing" it for a fee because you are out of warranty. They inevitably discover the issue is worse than expected and demand more and more money. If you cut them off (refuse to pay), they may either begin deleting files as a pressure tactic or change your Windows passwords preventing you from later using the computer yourself until you pay them.
