Rec'd call from 1-800-268-3486 - a recording claimed they were attempting to collect a debt requested that I call 1-866-664-2513. I called and inquired about the nature of the call. I was told that I owed a debt to Direct TV. I told them I've NEVER had Direct TV. Placed me on hold briefly. When he came back, he wanted me to give him my home address - to check on the debt, they said. I refused to give them any information because I've NEVER had Direct TV, therefore I owe them nothing. Because I wouldn't give them my address, they said, "That's unfortunate because we're just going to keep trying to collect [from you]." I called Direct TV and got the run around with automated answering machines, but finally got a phone number that was supposed to be the Direct TV Fraud Alert Hotline (1-866-444-0333). I called the Fraud Alert Hotline and got another recording. I left a message requesting a call back from the Direct TV Fraud Alert Hotline. That was a week ago and I still haven't receive a call back.
