Got a call from 876-529-0636 May 2nd, 2017. Caller said he was James Franklin with Publishers Clearing house. He told me I had won 11 million dollars and asked me a few questions trying to get a yes or no answer. Here are some examples:
JF: "Are you ready to receive your winning check?"
ME: "I can be."
JF: "For quality control purposes, this call may be recorded. Do I have you permission to record this call?"
ME: "You may record this call."
JF: "Do you remember filling out the Publishers Clearing House paperwork?"
ME: "That was some time ago."
JF: "Are you Jeff?"
ME: "My name is Jeff."
JF: "Do you still live in Oregon?"
ME: "I live in Oregon."
I was onto him. Eventually, he said he needed to get more information and that he would call me back in 5 minutes.
